“Befrienders are excellent at providing the invisible things like just showing you around, being a friend, providing company, giving you a feeling of normal life.”
An asylum seeker
We are looking for volunteers who are compassionate, volunteers with good listening skills, volunteers who can stand alongside others, volunteers who can develop trust, volunteers who will be friends and volunteers who will, when necessary, take initiative and action. Please consider volunteering as a befriender, so that together, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of asylum seekers and refugees.
If you are planning to attend could you please contact the RESTORE office so we have an idea of numbers.
