We are grateful to our team of volunteers who have joined us for ‘Equipping Refugees for Work’ (ER4W) our employability training course. Volunteers have facilitated small group discussions and offered one-to-one mentoring support. This training did not run in 2017 but we are hoping to restart later in 2018 .
However, some befrienders can have a mentoring type role if they are matched to a refugee who is seeking employment. This may involve a range of activities: some help to edit CVs and job application forms, others accompany a refugee on their first visit to a Job Club and one has helped his mentee in the process of becoming self-employed.
When ER4W is running again, please click here to contact us for additional information.
