Helping Ukrainian refugees

The war and bloodshed in Ukraine is shocking and heartbreaking.  As is the number of refugees – three million and rising – seeking safety in other countries.  The compassionate outpouring of welcome and hospitality in neighbouring countries like Poland, Romania and Moldova is amazing.

But what can we do to help? Here are some suggestions:

  1. Donate: To help established international agencies on the ground, please consider donating to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which comprises 15 organisations including Red Cross, World Vision, Christian Aid, TEAR Fund and Cafod.Click here to find out more and to donate.

  1. Be ready to befriend: If Ukrainian refugees arrive in Birmingham they will need support.  Restore will be ready to offer befriending and group social activities.  To find out more about our upcoming training course, and to join our team of amazing volunteer befrienders, click here.
