We are thrilled to reflect on the incredible success of our Annual Celebration honouring the remarkable journey of both befrienders and befriendees. With great enthusiasm, we welcomed an audience of over 140 from all walks of life who share our commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive society.
During the evening, we witnessed Iranian music, our journey of befriending in 2022, a prayer for the refugees and asylum seekers, men’s and women’s activities, and stories of both male and female befriending pairings. Hearing the befriender and befriendee perspectives of being in the relationship of “befriending” was the highlight of the evening.
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, donors, and partners who have tirelessly supported Restore’s work, and we wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we achieved during 2022 and in the first half of 2023 without their continuous support, dedication, and generosity.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the success of this event, and the work of Restore and we look forward to continuing our journey of compassion, advocacy and support for refugees and asylum seekers in Birmingham, in the years to come. Happy 24th Birthday Restore!
